In my newsletter, For Moms With Minis, I share free activity printables designed for kids aged 2-5. These fun activities help little ones practice colors, numbers, letters, fine motor skills, and more. Don’t worry if your child can’t do everything just yet—each activity is designed with different levels of difficulty in mind. The key is to have fun, be patient, and enjoy the time spent together. Every bit of practice counts, and I’m here to support you along the way!

This dot activity features a large Christmas tree filled with open circles, perfect for dot markers, stickers, crayons, or pom-poms. Children can fill in each circle to decorate the tree, building fine-motor strength and hand-eye coordination in a playful, low-pressure way. The simple design keeps the activity approachable, even for the youngest learners.
Dot activities are wonderful for preK and kindergarten because they allow kids to practice intentional movement while enjoying an art-like experience. Whether your child colors the circles or places small stickers inside each spot, every action helps them develop the small-motor precision needed for writing later on. The repetitive pattern of filling circles is calming and soothing for many kids as well.
Teachers and parents can also turn this into a color-themed challenge—choose a pattern, alternate colors, or even create a “lights on a tree” effect. It's a great seasonal fine-motor center, and the finished product makes a sweet winter decoration for your classroom or home.
